What I love about street style is that it is an unquantifiable enigma — Amanda Brooks herself says, “Street style does not have a concrete definition and look book.” Perhaps the only requirement for a look to be #streetstyle is that you leave your house. The minute your foot hits the pavement of the real world, the look is dubbed a "street" outfit. But this category of style is living and breathing; it evolves along with the men and women who wear it, and much like the future of the entire fashion industry, it is authentic and eccentric.

Currently, my go - to look is some variation of denim, a graphic tee and the right accessories. Vintage band tees are always an essential because they are equal parts rock ’n’ roll and irony; ironic primarily because most millennial style icons were infants when the tees were earning their rocker cred. It’s undeniable that a good ankle boot belongs in every woman’s wardrobe, but department stores and boutiques alike are a sea of unimpressive and nondescript ankle boots with a block heel this season — and I’m over it. The minute everyone is wearing a trend, it is no longer a trend, rather it is something that belongs on the clearance rack. This season I’m favoring an ankle boot with a pointed toe and kitten heel. Arguably more comfortable, the kitten heel adds a dash of sophisitication that a block heel simply cannot achieve, while literally almost everyone looks better in a pointed toe shoe for its leg - lengthening illusion.
